Helen Tipping
My late mother, Kathleen Lewis, stayed at 23 High Street with Mr and Mrs Third during the second world war from the years of 1943-46 I believe. Her father, Tom Lewis was based somewhere in the area.
She loved the time she spent there and I remember stories of her playing tennis at midnight in the summer.
