Salmon Fishing

Up until around 1990 there was a fishing station at Cromarty. During the summer bagnets would be installed out beyong the Sutors, which would be checked daily by crews from the Salmon Bothie. These nets would be periodically hung on posts on the links to dry and be cleaned.

Some sweep netting was also occasionally carried out at the Nigg beach.
