The first committee of the new boat club in 1996

Roger Gibson, Alex Davidson (Secretary), Bill Fraser (Vice Commodore), George Selvester (Commodore), Ronald Young (Treasurer), Ali Ratcliffe and Charlie Bateman.

The community Council who were the caretakers since the
old club folded in 1967 passed the trophies to the committee.

Hi Joan you guessed right I am Susan and Claudes grandson. Andy is my father. I know it sounds bad but I don't know if we've met and if we have it would have been at Gran and Granda's Golden Wedding some years ago.

No Ronald we have not met, but I think Charlotte, my sister would have been there with my Mother.

Now, in 2007, only one of those on the original committe are still paying members - Charley Bateman. George Selvester and Alex Davidson are now honorary members since 2006. George will probably be back on the committee as he is still very active in the club. A lot of water has gone under the bridge and the club has been an outstanding success over the years.
