I remember a patch of white heather just below the road there around the Postcard date.

think you could be right I too think its the south souter as it looks down on Cromarty whereas the North Souter looks across from Nigg.

Manys the walk was had up the Sutors in Teeenage days of youth.fantastic view.pick some wild Blaberries amongest the heather.some views never change thank god.Added by J. Reddigan 9/5/13/.
