Dougie will be sadly missed, especialy to those of us who enjoyed his extremely dry sense of humour. Many's a chuckle I've shared with Dougie over the years...and we shared a passion for a certain Glasgow football club who play in blue!!
Should definitely have been First Minister...could put the world to rights in 5 mins flat!
Rock on Dougie, wherever you are.

Aye you're quite right Gordon, he will be missed at the history society monthly meetings when he introduced speakers and gave his invaluable reminiscences at the end of talks, the many tales of his age group which sadly will be lost to others unless they are "Croms".
