Royal Restaurant c1935

This restaurant was run by two sisters who moved to Cromarty after having owned what is now the chipshop in Fortrose. One of the sisters was called Vera.

The restaurant was on Bank St, in what is now the house, Sandstones. It was later owned as a shop by the Singh family.

MY Mum was living in Cromarty in the 1930's. She thinks this photo is from a much earlier date. The dress is of the style of Mrs Cross's image outside her shop dated early 1900's.
