The links showing the Curling Pond - c1959

This picture shows the Curling Pond / Skating Rink in the foreground. Was the pond ever used for curling, and if so do any photos exist?

Can't remember it being used as a Curling rink Arthur....but sure can remember rushing down the hill from School at Lunchtime to have fun ..sliding around on it when it was full of hard ice.....this was the days before computers took over of course !!!

I remember a well-used curling pond somewhere just outside the village when I lived there as a boy in the late 1938-42. Can anyone confirm?

There was a curling pond going up towards navity - on the left hand side - there is a Dutch barn near its site - I'm not certain but I thing they also got the ice for the icehouse there .
