The hulk of the Osterhave - c1937

The Osterhave was brought into the firth in 1937 with damage to its port side. It had to be very carefully manoeuvered to avoid it sinking. It was beached where this photo was taken in front of the Cottage Hospital. The large cement block and ring by the Bayview Crescent slipway (inset) were used to moor it whilst it was broken up over the next 18 months.

Do you know who the lady and child are? (See also picture #1280)
